Appreciate Your Gifts
Happy Wednesday everyone! I took the day off yesterday to rest. My body told me “go back to bed” at 7 am. Upon waking up getting my daughter off to school, I couldn’t quite get a grasp on my day much less myself. So I cancelled my meeting with my business coach. I was so looking forward. I needed to rest. I listened to my body. Slept all day Tuesday, and today WEDNESDAY was wonderful.
I did one of my favorite clients hair today and copied down a few words she shared with me. Had to share. We were chatting about our children. Ways they’ll critisize a picture of themselves, or put themselves down in some light manner. “if you don’t appreciate the gifts you are given, you run a risk of having them taken away”. She was referring to this karmically. I have always come from the school of thought “be grateful for what you have, for what if you awoke and they were gone”.
Point is, every moment is a blessing. We all have somethng to be thankful for. Go write down 10 things you are thankful for RIGHT AT THIS MOMENT. Stick it on your mirror. ”

What a great day of learning, and I feel armed with knowledge of different ways to approach my clients hair color. Nicole Leal, Director of Education at 901 is no joke at knowing her color. She is on point, stays on task, and knows her worth. I just loved class today. This week is a week of transformation for me, and I hope it is for you too. Check out Jack Canfield 10 day transformation class. That’ll get you jumpstarted. Don’t forget to write three goals on a sticky note to focus on each week. Everybody can stay on your goal for at least a week right? If you can go a week, keep on moving! Looking forward to sharing more of my transformation with you as the week progresses.

Sunday, the upcoming week preparation day.
Getting geared up for a week full of learning, transforming, and celebrating. Tomorrow quite a few of the stylists from The Canyon Salon are going to Salon 901 in West Hollywood to take a class specializing in blonding techniques. I am impressed with 901. The hair talent, their incredible business talent, and the fact that they are going to share their knowledge with other hairdressers. I am excited to experience not only a field trip to West Hollywood with a group of talented stylists from my salon, but a new approach to things I do everyday.
Midweek I have a coaching session with my business and communications mentor.
Late week we have Launa Stone coming to introduce herslef from Calabasas Med Spa and treating our team to some goodies, and a celebration Friday to thank our clients for being so lovely.
Have a great week. Sunday is the day I suggest my clients do their hair masque. Hope that’s what everyone is doing tonight. I am on my way to the shower right now to use the new Kevin Murphy Hydrate Me Masque! I also use it to shave because the smell makes me so happy.
