Little effort leads to a whole new look

Today I was on my way home from the salon. A colleague of mine asked if I could help her out with a little girl’s bang trim as she was running behind with a color correction. I of course said yes! Working as a team is integral to salon success and an overall supportive vibe felt throughout our high end 5 star Canyon Salon. minutes later in walks this rad girl ( not little) perhaps in her late teens , with gorgeous one length, long red hair .

Of course not what I was expecting, and of course I’m thrilled.

She came in looking one way and 10 minutes later she left with an entire new look.

The power a small change can make in ones image is staggering.

New Years Preparation

Last few days of 2014
New Years Prep at The Canyon Salon

It’s been fabulous getting my clients all set up with their new look for 2015. Many changes. Lots of prebookings for new hair color to start the new year fresh.

Then there’s me. The stylist seems to be the last one to get their look pulled together.

I squeezed in to see my facialist Miss Kelli McCauley from the Canyon Salon literally in between clients. My first go at Dermaplaning. Topped off with oxy-glo. Wow! What a difference ! Photos to come. It’s late, but had to post, as we only have one more day in 2014. Are we all prepped with a pulled together image to embark our new year?

Is your house clean, organized, Christmas lights down, new hair, clean skin, groomed brows, thank you cards sent? Vison board created?

We better get to work.

Oribe Hair Care on the Road.

What? Two tickets for Nikki (a owner) and me? We are invited to Milk Studios to experience a brand. I believe they have a beautiful job over at Oribe making a super high end, sexy, classy product line that emanates fire and fabulousness. It screams “the best”!

The Canyon was is discussion many years about carrying this line, when were moving to our new location Instead we decided to carry another brand from Italy. To be honest the name slipped my memory. It was cute, and every body bought it. New Salon, New Product. They go together. Unfortunately for all that product we moved there were no points. No treats. No gifts.

So we yanked it.

Unite has come and gone, and is  now back.  Making a huge resurgence in our salon. Theyr’e just at the perfect position at the perfect time. all aligning beautifully. we have full representation of Unite. I have to say Kevin Striwerdtka is our man. He is always there for us, and I do appreciate support. All the Unite Peeps are a class act.

We currently carry Kevin Murphy, Alterna Caviar and bamboo, UNITE. ELC, Bumble went away recently. That was a slight heartbreaker. We go way back.

But I’m talking Oribe. We’ll see what goes on Dec 8 at The Milk Studios. Are they going to impress? I’m sure they’ll deliver a stunning show, and I count down the days to be moved.

My ten day face peel journey.

When will you ever find ten days to go through a face peel? I mean really? Ten days, no work? No sun? do you go in public? What is one to do?

Well the answer is You just do it! The results are well worth the 10 days of sunscreen saturation, serums, hats, sunglasses, and work? I went to work every day as my clients were in awe. Half of them made appoinments to do their own peel.

I am sharing my journey to my new face. I am simply in awe. Thank you to my dear friend and facial specialsit at The Canyon Salon, Kelly McCauley. My skin looks like it did when I was sixteen. The actual plump, clear, pure, glowing skin. My make up glides on, I am a total supporter of Kelly’s face peel at The Canyon Salon.

A Jessner peel is a popular medium-depth chemical peel that works to improve skin health by helping remove and heal skin damage that is more extensive than regular “wear and tear.” This skin care treatment is stronger than most superficial chemical peels, and therefore creates more temporary damage to the skin in the process. The Jessner peel consists of three main ingredients: lactic acid (assists in the exfoliation of the skin), salicylic acid (aids in penetration), and resorcinol (assists in the treatment of acne).

With this said, my minimal sun damage is gone, my skin is radiant. I still see My Launa Stone for a little botox here and there, but this is all part of being and looking and feeling the best you can possibly feel.

We will go into the previous paragraph in depth and on many levels. So I’ll save content and get into the photographs.

My face felt warm like I had a sunburn. and it was frosty looking.
Day one. My face felt warm like I had a sunburn. and it was frosty looking.
My face looked smooth and a little red like I went in the sun for 5 hours with no sunblock.
Day two. My face looked smooth and a little red like I went in the sun for 5 hours with no sunblock.
It's getting real now.
Day three. It’s getting real now.
